Ingredients

Relaxer® sensitive scalp formula: 42417 ss3 aqua/ water, paraffinum liquidum/ mineral oil, petrolatum, cetaryl alcohol, calcium hydroxide, polysorbate 60, laneth-15, cetyl alcohol, peg-75 lanolin, butyrospermum parkii butter / shea butter (f.I.L. B250933/1)

Activator sensitive scalp formula: 42207 ss3 aqua / water, guanidine carbonate, propylene glycol, arginine, tetrasodium edta,
Polyquaternium-16, c 19140 / yellow 5, denatonium benzoate (f.L.L. D208804/1)

Directions

*BEFORE RELAXING: DO NOT SHAMPOO HAIR. 
Check condition of client's hair and scalp. Avoid vigorous brushing, combing or tugging. Wearing protective gloves, conduct strand test. Proceed only if hair and scalp are in good condition.

Mixing

1. Pour one container of mizani sensitive scalp activator (item b) into jar containing mizani sensitive scalp relaxer (item a).
2. Using mixing spatula, stir together until product is uniform and free of lumps.
3. Let mixture sit for 5 minutes.

Relaxer application

1. Apply protective Base on skin around hairline and ears. Avoid contact with hair.
2. Set timer according to relaxer timing chart.
3. Wearing disposable protective gloves, apply generous amount of relaxer to most resistant area first using the back of a rattail comb or application brush. Do not apply to scalp. 
4. Continue application throughout entire head, parting in thin sections. Apply to the hairline last.
5. With gloved fingers or back of a rattail comb, gently smooth hair at root until desired straightness is achieved. Do not apply pressure. Do not exceed recommended timing. 
6. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
7. Proceed to conditioning with moisturfuse moisturizing conditioner following directions on the right.
8. After conditioning, neutralize the hair with butter blend balance hair bath following the directions on the right.

Conditioning & neutralizing

1. Apply and distribute moisturfase moisturizing conditioner to
   Hair and cover with a plastic cap. Do not apply heat.
2. Leave in for 10 minutes. 
3. Rinse thoroughly.
4. Apply 1 to 1½ Oz. Butter blend balance hair bath. At least two applications
   Separated by rinsing are necessary to remove all traces of
   Relaxer residue.
5. Lather and rinse thoroughly with lukewarm
   Water.
6. Towel dry and proceed to styling.

Warning: contains alkali. Please follow directions carefully to avoid skin and scalp burns, hair loss, hair breakage, and eye injury. Do not use if scalp is irritated or injured. Do not use on bleached hair or hair that is breaking, splitting, or otherwise damaged. For hair that has been permanently colored and shows no signs of damage, use only mild strength formula. If hair has been previously relaxed, apply only to new growth as described in the directions. If relaxer causes skin or scalp irritation, rinse out immediately and wash with a neutralizing (non-alkaline) shampoo (with a pH below 7).
If irritation persists, or if hair loss occurs, consult a physician. Keep away from eyes. Can cause blindness. If relaxer gets into eyes, rinse immediately with lukewarm water and consult a physician. Read important safety information on relaxer BASE tub completely prior to use.
