Artist Statement: My daughter danced for many years, and I loved watching her achieve her goal of dancing on pointe shoes. She has since moved on to other things, but I still enjoy those shoes as a fond memory of her.

Artist Bio: Jessica Michaelson is a Salt Lake-based artist working primarily in oil. She enjoys working in both portrait and figurative work and often paints religious themes. She feels it is rewarding, though humbling, to paint pieces depicting the Divine. They are often the most challenging works to portray and the most meaningful to her. She also loves to paint themes that have meaning in her life through objects, florals, and landscapes.
