Artist Statement: Inspired by Shakespeare’s play as well as my favorite memories of Swedish Midsummer growing up
Artist Bio: Olivia comes from a line of Swedish artists and creatives, and that heritage shapes the way she sees and deals with the world. Her works mainly explores the feelings of home and memories. Olivia’s Swedish roots run deep in her paintings: She continuously return to the textures, colors, and beauty of her homeland, letting memory and longing guide her brush. The emotions of her works are embedded in the brushwork and surfaces— this is a language that reveals itself slowly to whoever takes the time to look.
