Artist Bio: David Blanchard is an artist from Tooele, Utah, who graduated Summa Cum Laude from Utah Valley University with a BFA in Painting and Drawing. Their work focuses on surrealist oil paintings but also includes printmaking, watercolor, and various drawing media. Beyond their capstone exhibition, A Boat Rolled Out Onto the Lake of Dust for a Swim in the Deep End of the Earth, Blanchard has participated in several local exhibitions and co-curated the Revealing Unknowns exhibition at UVU. Additionally, their work has been published in university journals Untold, Warp & Weave, Touchstones, the Journal of Student Leadership. They have also written for 15 Bytes.
