I felt the need to create for as far back as I can remember. As I grew older I didn't feel satisfied with my knowledge of painting and didn't understand the techniques. I just painted what I saw. When I was older I took art classes at the Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art in Augusta, GA, along with workshops to guide me into shaping my career in the art world today.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"mso-no-proof: yes;\"\u003eAlong this path I discovered sculpting and for more than 10 years I immersed myself in mastering sculpting figures. I sculpted them by hand, painted their faces, gave them wigs, and dressed them myself. All my little figures represented fairytales and folklore. I was featured in many magazines around the world and invited to show my art in the Magnum Opus Art Figure show in New York City. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"mso-no-proof: yes;\"\u003eEventually my heart turned back to oil painting and I laid the clay aside. I am still creating the Fairytale Folklore tales in mind with my art, just in a different format. Every painting I paint tells a story and isn't just a pretty picture. Sometimes the story comes to me before I begin and sometimes it evolves as I paint.
